Says girl was diabetic patient and had been using insulin for the past five years
A preliminary post-mortem report of a 17-year-old girl who died at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Jhang after being found critically injured has revealed no evidence of sexual assault or physical violence on the body.
According to the report available toThe Express Tribune. the post-mortem conducted at DHQ Hospital, Jhang, stated that the girl died while unconscious. It also noted that she was a diabetic patient and had been using insulin for the past five years.
“Samples have been sent to Lahore for forensic analysis to determine the exact cause of death,” the report said.
The victim, identified as 17-year-old Eshal Fatima, was a resident of Sultan Colony. an 11th-grade student at a private college. She succumbed to her injuries on June 7 at DHQ Hospital after being allegedly kidnapped four days earlier.
A day earlier, Punjab police arrested three suspects accused of kidnapping a girl. Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Satellite Town, Zeeshan Haider, in a statement, said that in a joint operation with the Crime Control Department (CCD), police arrested the main suspect, Khalil-ur-Rehman, from Lahore, along with two alleged accomplices, Muhammad Hassan. Umais, on Tuesday morning.
He said police also took into custody the vehicle allegedly used in the incident.

The First Information Report (FIR) lodged by Eshal’s father, Irshad Hussain, stated that his daughter left home on June 4 after being contacted through a neighbour. told she would be taken to Multan for clothes shopping.
The complainant stated that when she did not return for an extended period, the family attempted to contact her on her mobile phone,. it was switched off. The family searched for her but was unable to trace her whereabouts.
The FIR further stated that on June 7, the family received a phone call informing them that Eshal’s condition had deteriorated. that she had been admitted to a private hospital. By the time relatives arrived, police had already shifted her to the DHQ Hospital.
