Raducanu misses Wimbledon practice amid injury concern

Emma Raducanu missed training at Wimbledon on Thursday as she manages an injury aggravated by her run to the Queen's final.

The 23-year-old Britonfinished as runner-up to Croatia's Donna Vekicafter five matches in a week earlier this month,. wore strapping on her left thigh after a slip in the quarter-finals.

But the thigh is not the concern this week, with sources indicating that Raducanu has a shin problem.

She wasreportedly,externalseen leaving the All England Club wearing an orthopaedic boot on her right leg on Wednesday.

Speaking after the Queen's final, Raducanu said: "I have just been dealing with a few niggles over the past few weeks,. of course the load I have had in the last week - it's been a great problem to have, playing this many matches."

It was a welcome return to form for the British number one, who had not won a match since early March. missed several tournaments because of a viral illness.
