Hannah Klugman lost in the Nottingham Open first round in 2025
British teenager Hannah Klugman swept aside compatriot Harriet Dart at the Nottingham Open to claim her first win on the WTA Tour.
The highly rated 17-year-old had lost in qualifying,. got the call to enter the draw as a lucky loser following Katie Boulter's withdrawal.
World number 509 Klugman made the most of her second chance with a 6-2 6-4 victory against 152nd-ranked Dart.
Klugman has been granted a wildcard into the Wimbledon main draw as she moves from the junior to senior ranks.
"I was at home [in Wimbledon] this morning after losing on Sunday. Everyone was telling me I had to drive up at 5am, so it's been a long day," Klugman said.
"Because I lost [in qualifying] I had to take this chance, I had to give it my all.
"I didn't want to play with any fear or have any regrets. I'm so proud to get my first win today."

Klugman first rose to prominence when she won the prestigious Orange Bowl junior championships in Florida as a 13-year-old. Past winners include world number seven Coco Gauff and 18-time major singles winner Chris Evert.
In 2025. she became thefirst Briton in almost 50 yearsto reach the French Open girls' final, losing in straight sets to Lilli Tagger.
She has also contested two Grand Slam girls' doubles finals at Wimbledon in 2023 and the 2025 Australian Open.
She made her WTA Tour main-draw debut in Nottingham last year. made her first Wimbledon appearance a few weeks later, losing both singles matches.
Klugman's serve was particularly impressive against Dart, with the teenager hitting six aces to zero double faults. winning 77% of first-serve points.
After a strong first set, Klugman found herself 4-2 down in the second,. reeled off four games in a row to secure victory.
The only Briton to make the second round in Nottingham, Klugman will face fourth seed Marie Bouzkova next.
Fellow Briton Alicia Dudeney, who also received a Wimbledon main-draw wildcard, lost 6-4 7-6 (7-2) to Ukraine's Dayana Yastremska.
