Naqvi orders the installation of a solar power system at the Academy
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday ordered major upgrades during his visit to the National Police Academy (NPA).
During his visit, the interior minister chaired a high-level meeting. reviewed multiple development projects aimed at modernising police training in the country. He inspected the under-construction multi-storey hostel and examined the model room, issuing directives to further enhance its facilities.
He assigned a deadline of May 31 for the completion of the Elite Police Training School project. announcing that elite-level training for officers will now be conducted at the NPA instead of provincial institutions.

He also directed reforms in promotional courses, emphasising modern standards and improved service delivery. Plans were approved for a Driving School, where officers will be trained in advanced driving and car-chasing techniques. Additionally, Naqvi ordered the setting up of dedicated crime-scene rooms to enhance investigative skills.
In the sports domain, he instructed the creation of padel-tennis courts. inspected the sports complex, gym, and swimming pool, issuing directions to upgrade all facilities on modern lines.
