Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephonic conversation on Sunday with the Prime Minister. Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The two "reviewed efforts aimed at achieving peace. enhancing security and stability in the region," Qatar's Foreign Ministry said in a post on X.

Al Thani affirmed his "full support for mediation efforts aimed at resolving the crisis through peaceful means, emphasising the need for all parties to respond to these efforts in a way that contributes to creating the appropriate conditions for progress in negotiations. limits the possibilities of renewed escalation."

Earlier. the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Navy Command warned the United States against further strikes on Iranian ships, according toIRIB News Agency. A cargo vessel was struck Sunday by an "unknown projectile" 23 nautical miles northeast of the Qatari capital Doha. according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center.

US Secretary of State meets Qatari Prime Minister
