Hampshire have signed the South African all-rounder Delano Potgieter on a short-term deal that will cover their next three County Championship matches. the Vitality Blast
Potgieter, 29, will arrive at the Ageas Bowl with Hampshire in a state of flux, following Wednesday's red-ball retirement of stalwart Liam Dawson,. with Hampshire sitting rock-bottom of Division One, ahead of Friday's home fixture against champions and current pace-setters Nottinghamshire.
He will remain with the club during their Blast campaign, which begins at Taunton on May 22, with his compatriot Tristan Stubbs due to arrive after the conclusion of his IPL stint with Delhi Capitals,. will also be available for their Championship fixtures against Surrey and Sussex in June.
Potgieter has a strong domestic record in South Africa, having taken 128 wickets in 50 first-class matches at 23.61, as well as 2,564 runs at 44.20, with five centuries. nine fifties, at an average of 44.20.
