RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted partly cloudy weather in the twin cities of Rawalpindi. Islamabad on Friday with isolated rain-windstorm/thunderstorm.
According to Met Official, there are chances of rain on Friday in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
He said that rain occurred in various parts of the twin cities on Thursday morning. brought down the temperature to 34 degree Celsius.
The Met Office recorded 4 millimeter rain at Katchury, 3 mm at Chaklala, 2 mm at Pirwadhai. Shamsabad and 1 mm at Kattarian in Rawalpindi while 2 mm at Zero Point and 1 mm at Golra in Islamabad.
“Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the central and southern parts of the country,” the official said.
Meanwhile, a shallow westerly wave is expected to enter the central regions. A seasonal low-pressure area persists over north Balochistan.
The official said that mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, he said that isolated rain-windstorm/thunderstorm is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, south/northeast Punjab, Northeast/South Balochistan, Kashmir. adjoining hilly areas.
