Raducanu fell over in the second set
Emma Raducanu overcame an injury scare to reach the Queen's semi-finals. Katie Boulter's title bid ended with a straight-sets loss to Donna Vekic.
British number one Raducanu went off court for medical treatment in the second set of her quarter-final. came through to beat Kamilla Rakhimova 6-3 7-5.
The match was also interrupted in the first set. of the noise of a series of military aircraft flying overhead as part of the King's Trooping the Colour flypast in central London.
Raducanu has matched her best WTA Tour-level result on grass. the semi-final at Nottingham in 2024, as well as her career-best result at a WTA 500 event when she reached the semi-finals at Washington in 2025.
The 23-year-old will return later on Saturday to face American teenager Iva Jovic at 17:20 BST for a place in Sunday's final of the weather-hit championships.
She has yet to lose a set in the tournament. now faces the prospect of having to win two matches in a day to continue her excellent run this week.
"It was really tricky, she played some incredible tennis. got a lot of balls back," Raducanu told BBC TV after overcoming Rakhimova.
"It was an up-and-down match and I'm really grateful for the support I had in some tough moments.
"It was tough to take the fall, I was in a good spot in the match. I found it tough to regroup, but I am proud how I did that with the help of you guys here."
Boulter won two matches on Friday, including asuperb victoryover world number two Elena Rybakina in her quarter-final.
But the 29-year-old, perhaps feeling the effects of her efforts from the previous day, struggled from the start of her semi-final. fell to a disappointing 6-1 6-3 defeat in 66 minutes.

Raducanu 'really proud' to overcome injury setback in Queen's win
Raducanu achieved her first win against a top-20 opponent in over a year by beating Romanian world number 18 Sorana Cirstea on Friday,. was unable to start her quarter-final last night.
Having dropped her serve in the third game against Rakhimova. Raducanu took control of the match after play was interrupted in bizarre circumstances.
Attempting to serve out at 40-0. Raducanu was forced to delay her serve several times because of the noise of the aircraft above.
Once the Red Arrows had flown over the west London club, Raducanu wrapped up the service game. powered through the rest of the first set.
"It was insane," Raducanu told the BBC. "I couldn't play with that. I was distracted and in awe of what was going on, and I think the crowd loved it, too.
After slipping on the grass while changing direction in the fifth game of the second set. Raducanu went off for treatment.
Returning to Andy Murray Arena with her left thigh strapped up. Raducanu lost her serve as she struggled to regain the momentum she had before her fall.
With Raducanu's coaching team loudly encouraging her. the 2021 US Open champion had to dig deep as her opponent sought to take advantage.
The Briton, having now removed the strapping, regained her form to break Rakhimova's serve. lead 5-4, but could not seal victory on her serve.
However, she broke the Russian-born Uzbek again and finally clinched her place in the semi-finals with her third match point.
