Silva 'hasn't decided' if he's staying at Fulham
Fulhamboss Marco Silva says he has not yet decided whether he will stay on and be in charge next season.
Silva's contract expires at the end of June and. as things stand, the club is keen to keep him, with a three‑year offer understood to be on the table.
The Portuguese boss, who was appointed in 2021, was linked with theChelseajob before formerLiverpoolmidfielderXabi Alonso was appointedon Sunday.
"I have not decided," formerEverton, Watford. Hull City boss Silva told Match of the Day when asked about his future followingFulham's 1-1 draw at Wolveson Sunday.
"I understand the fans want to know the future of the club.
"Myself and the club cannot communicate something when the decision is not made."
Silva said that this summer was going to be "one of the most important for the club's future".
Wales international Harry Wilson, who has 10 Premier League goals this season, is also out of contract this summer.
"We are going to have meetings, I am going to analyse," added Silva about his own future.
"I believe there are many things to analyse. you need to be calm in this moment to address many, many things."
Those who know Silva personally say he has ambitions to manage at the highest level. although he has also shown loyalty by rejecting multiple approaches from Saudi clubs.
However. Silva hasnot ruled outa return to Portuguese football, with Benfica coach Jose Mourinho linked with the managerial role at Real Madrid.
Silva took charge ofFulhamwhen they were in the Championship five years ago. steered the club to promotion in his first season.
Since then he has established them in the Premier League, guidingFulhamto 10th, 13th and 11th placed finishes.
They currently sit 13th with one match - at home toNewcastle- left butFulhamhave failed to win in their past three games. seriously denting their chances of qualifying for Europe next season.
FormerFulhamgoalkeeper Mark Schwarzer told BBC Match of the Day: "The concern is this is the second season in a row they have dropped off. each time the uncertainty around the manager has played a part.
"He has done a phenomenal job but the future needs to be sorted out quickly."
