Khusanov was shown crying after full time. Uzbekistan are not yet out of the World Cup, if DR Congo beat Colombia later on though they will be.
Portugal go top of Group K with Colombia and DR Congo playing later on. They have got the job done and Cristiano Ronaldo has scored after a raft of criticism this week. He just said “I’m back, I’m back” into the camera.
90 + 5 min: Wow Portugal almost had a sixth there. A sweeping move saw Ronaldo feed Mendes and a strike came in but it’s wide.
90 + 3 min: Uzbekistan have a free kick. it is taken well but Diogo Costa watches it all the way to collect and clear. It’s just not been their day today.
90 + 1 min: There will be five minutes added. Great news for Portugal, I think Uzbekistan will just want this to end now.
90 min: I believe that was checked for offside but the goal stands.
89 min: A cross comes in looking for Ronaldo. it deflects off of a defender in the path of Rafa Leão who hits a one-touch finish.
86 min: Fernandes takes a long range shot but Nematov saves well.
84 min: Portugal take a short corner but eventually pop it in, it doesn’t reach a teammate and Uzbekistan counter. Again, they waste the opportunity. The story of their game.
83 min: Portugal make another change with Rafa Leão for Vitinha.
80 min: The game has hit a bit of a lull now but it is Portugal again in possession.
78 min: Overall this has been a much improved performance from Portugal and one fans would be more familiar with. But there are some defensive hairiness that they will need to sharpen up, Uzbekistan keep getting closer. with more clinical forwards this game may have been quite different.
76 min: Neves is off for Bernardo Silva as Portugal make another change.
74 min: Ronaldo is chasing this hat-trick. Portugal make a break from Mendes but the captain can’t get onto the eventual cross. Uzbekistan then make a defensive blunder but Nematov saves well. Sergreev is now on for Uzbekistan.

68 min: Full respect and credit to Uzbekistan, despite being so far behind on the scoreboard they have not faded. They are posing Portugal questions in this second half, the Portuguese just have the answer sheet today.
66 min: Andy Flintoff, who has clarified he isn’t the former cricketer, has said on Uzbekistan’s disallowed goal:
double quotation mark A late challenge is a late challenge. a foul wherever it happens (except when a player has taken a shot, then a defender can pretty much do what they like, it seems), so it was rightly disallowed.

It wasn’t a penalty but was is a corner and Fernandes popped it in. It was scrappy but it is an own goal from Khusanov.
59 min: There was a lovely move there as Ronaldo strolled through and Fernandes popped it to him. Nematov comes out to save it, which he does, but he also catches Ronaldo who is down. He wants a penalty but I don’t think it is one. The goalkeeper definitely gets the ball first.
58 min: Now we’re back up the other end for a Portugal free kick as Ronaldo is fould 30 yards out. Fernandes and the captain are over the ball.
