It also criticised the continued use of the territory. facilities of certain regional countries by the US military to prepare and conduct attacks against Iran, saying such actions place those countries “alongside the aggressors.”

It reiterated that all countries in the region have a legal. moral responsibility to prevent their territory, facilities and resources from being used for attacks against Iran.

The statement stressed that Iran remains determined to neutralise the sources of attacks against the country. would exercise what it described as its “inherent right to self-defence” against US military aggression and its allies.

The ministry further called on all UN member states to explicitly oppose what it described as violations of the UN Charter by the United States. Israel, warning that silence and inaction would contribute to greater instability and insecurity.

It also urged the UN Security Council. its members to fulfil their responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and called on UN Secretary-General António Guterres to clearly state the facts regarding the ongoing developments.

The ministry said issuing general or ambiguous statements in the face of “clear acts of aggression” would only encourage further violations of international law.

US CENTCOM says it disabled third oil tanker in Gulf of Oman

According to a post on X by the US CENTCOM account on Thursday. US forces "disabled an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman at 11:20 pm ET (8:20 am PKT June 11) on June 10 after the vessel violated the blockade against Iran by attempting to transport Iranian oil."

"A US aircraft fired two Hellfire missiles into the ship’s engine room after the crew repeatedly failed to comply with directions from US forces."

The ship in question is the Guinea-Basseau flagged M/T Jalveer. CENTCOM claiims it was attempting to transport Iranian oil through the Gulf of Oman.

Saudi Arabia condemns ‘repeated’ Iranian attacks on Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait

Saudi Arabia on Thursday condemned “repeated” Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, Bahrain. Kuwait, warning that continued violations of the sovereignty of neighbouring states would further increase tensions in the region.

In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry denounced the attacks against the three countries. reiterated the kingdom’s rejection of actions that threaten regional stability.

It also urged the continuation of negotiations sponsored by Pakistan. supported by Qatar, saying the talks offer a path toward preventing a return to war.

According to the statement, resuming diplomatic efforts would help restore security. stability in the region and contribute to global peace and security.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) early Thursday said that 18 major US military targets had been struck at Ali Al Salem. Ahmad Al Jaber air bases in Kuwait, and Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, as well as a base hosting American fighter jets in Jordan.

The developments came amid rapidly escalating tensions following US strikes on southern Iran. Tehran’s subsequent announcement that it was closing the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic.

Iran denies US claims its defence systems destroyed, says armed forces ‘fully prepared’

China on Thursday renewed its call for the US and Iran to halt fighting and return to dialogue.

India reports new vessel incident off Oman as tanker catches fire, confirms 3 sailors dead in separate strike

It is the third such incident involving Indian vessels amid the US-Iran war this week.

On Wednesday. the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said US forces disabled an oil tanker late Tuesday after the vessel allegedly violated a maritime blockade by attempting to transport oil from Iran.

US Central Command denied that the strait was closed or any of its ships were struck. saying commercial ships were still transiting the strait despite Iran's threats.

Iranian news agencies reported explosions in several cities across the country of 93 million, including Sirik, Kargan, Bandar Abbas, Minab,. Karaj near the strait, as well as Varamin far to the north, closer to the Caspian Sea.

Israeli attack targets house in Nabatieh causing fire
