Glamorgan skipper Kiran Carlson hit a career-best 209 against Hampshire this season in the Championship
Glamorgan captain Kiran Carlson has signed a two-year contract extension. extending his decade-long stay until at least the end of the 2028 season.
The 28‑year‑old came through the Glamorgan pathway. in 2016 - in just his third first-class match - the Cardiff-born player became the youngest player to score a first-class century for the Welsh county at 18 years and 119 days of age.
Carlson had already caught the eye on his introduction to County cricket a couple of weeks earlier. taking 5-28 on debut with his off-spin away to Northamptonshire.
"Extremely happy to have signed another contract with the club, as a Cardiff lad it's a great honour to represent Glamorgan. Wales," Carlson said.
"The club are in a really exciting period. as captain I can't wait to see how far we can get to as a club in all formats. There isn't another club I'd want to play for more than here."
Carlson's Glamorgan career has not been all smooth sailing, with a loss of form in 2019. 2020, but a resurgent 2021 season was capped off as he led the side to One-Day Cup victory - a first trophy for the club since 2004.
